Are SMS competitions legal? |
|
Many competitions are run under the guise of Promotional Competitions. A Promotional Competition is used to promote goods or a service. A ‘reward’ for making use of the service or purchasing the product could be an entry into a draw to win a prize. However, the purchaser should not pay any more for participation in the competition. If an SMS is the means of entering the competition, you shouldn’t pay more than the standard cost of an SMS. |
