Invitation for NLDTF Stakeholder Inputs

The National Lotteries Board created a platform whereby the public was invited to contribute to shaping the future of the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF). The NLB like other funders is faced with overall challenges of limited funding for good causes as a result of the global economic meltdown.

The recommendations from the Indaba held in June 2011, have been categorised into legislative and non-legislative changes. In order to ensure continuity in our operations, we invite inputs from our stakeholders from the various sectors e.g (Charities, Arts Culture, Environment & National Heritage, Sports & Recreation) to assist in the prioritisation of areas of funding for the 2012/2013 financial year. A maximum of five priority areas for funding must be identified per sector.

These priority areas should be in line with the published Regulations as outlined in the Government Gazette No.9340, Vol.541 of 20 July 2010 No.33398. The published regulations indicate at least 50% of funding must be directed towards rural, underprivileged and poor communities. The regulations can be accessed from our website: www.nlb.org.za and all responses must be returned to the NLB by 11 May 2012 at 13h00.

Responses should be forwarded to the emails below as per your residential province or fax to 086 555 7623.
