The National Lotteries Board (NLB) has a total staff complement of about 120, of whom 60% are female and 90% black.

Chief executive officer: Professor Vevek Ram
Professor Ram has been with the board since its inception, first as a member and since 1999 as CEO. Prior to this he was a professor in computer science and information systems at the (then) University of Natal. He also consulted in the area of software engineering.
