LOTTERY FUNDING AND GOOD CAUSES THE LATEST FIGURES
In the past financial year, 1 April 2001 to 31 March 2002, 1 240 beneficiaries of lottery funding were identified and R222,539,409.00 was allocated to them as follows:

Arts,Culture and National Heritage: R48,096,596.00
Charities: R102,781,275.00
Sport and Recreation: R 71,661,538.00
   
Total: R222,539,409.00


In the first five months of the current financial year i.e. 1 April 2002 to 31 August 2002, allocations to good causes are as follows:

Arts,Culture and National Heritage: R 92,907,513.00
Charities: R 155,116,378.00
Sport and Recreation: R 29,272,157.00
   
Total: R277,296,048.00
