NATIONAL LOTTERY DISTRIBUTION TRUST FUND
NATIONAL LOTTERY DISTRIBUTION TRUST FUND Emergency Funds Distribution In response to the general request from organisations which had been funded through the sale of Scratchcard lotteries before the Lotteries Act made these lotteries unlawful, the Minister of Trade and Industry directed the National Lotteries Board to call for applications from these organisations and to consider their requests in respect of whether they were in imminent danger of closing down because of the lack of financial support. A call for applications was made in all major newspapers on 8 October with the closing date set as 30 November. The Board considered these applications in December 2000 and January 2001.
